Mother's Day United States USA Canada Australia
In the early 1900's a teacher, in honor of her mother, began to create a day to honor mothers. It was President Woodrow Wilson who proclaimed the second Sunday in May as a national U.S. holiday to honor mothers - Mother's Day. Australia and Canada celebrate's Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May.
This year recognition goes out to two amazing women who are special mothers.
The first is my mother who is a widow and who has taken charge of her new life. She moved from the home were she lived happily married and raised a family. She is in her new home, in a new city, with new surroundings. She has made new friends, has established a support group of people to do the "heavy lifting" and has settled in very nicely. I am so proud of her. She is a go-getter! I pray her health will be good and I send blessings and love to my most inspiring and wonderful mother. I love you!
The second is my dear friend, Joyce, who is like a second mother to me. Joyce is very proud of her only son, Steve, and has handled her multiple sclerosis with dignity. She is always willing to help, has great advice and her sense of humor and has everyone laughing.
Blessings to all the mother's today.
A mother's love is cherished.
Have a Magnificent Mother's Day!!!
